Get ready to have a blast if you come to our one of our shows! We're a high energy cover band that specializes in songs that strike a nostalgic chord...and we're not afraid to get silly! We sometimes refer to ourselves as a "Gen-X Juke Box" or "Brat-Pack Soundtrack." Synth heavy songs from the 80's are a staple, but you'll hear a variety of alternative and pop songs from the past few decades.

Rianna Baker
Lead Singer
Opera Diva by day, Pop Diva by night! She doesn't mean to toot her own horn as a singer, but she's not in student loan debt for nothing! Primarily a classically trained mezzo-soprano with active classical gigs, Rianna loves an opportunity to let loose and get a bit gritty with her vocals. You can expect to hear new takes and faithful renditions alike on some of your favorite hits. Before you have to ask: yes, the keyboardist is her dad!

A.J. Jackson
Drums & Electronic Percussion, Vocals
A.J. is far too humble to write his own bio and do himself justice, so his partner (see above) will take it upon herself to tell you, dear reader, just how cool this guy is. While drums are his weapon of choice, he's an adept multi-instrumentalist and singer. He's made music since he was a child and has years and years of experience not only in cover bands, but also writing and performing original music. Any one who sees him perform gets a little charmed by his talent!
Michael Baker
Keyboards & Vocals
Also known as Mikey B when he's feeling funky. Michael is classically trained pianist and studied jazz piano. He played in Back Beat in the late 80's and early 90's with his best friend, Nick Kidd. You may remember them from their usual haunts: City Limits, Weber's, or the South Lyon Hotel. Over 25 years later, they picked up where they left off, many of the same songs, but now with updated technology--no more 3 1/2 in floppy drives! In addition to programming those lush synth soundscapes, he also programs the light and video show to make the show uniquely Been There Done That!

Last but most certainly not least! Nick also studied music at university, and found he preferred the production side. Hailing from England, Nick authentically provides those classic vocals that helped define the synth-pop and new wave genres- no phony accents needed! During his time after playing in Back Beat, Nick worked in sound design for Sony. It's safe to say his sound mixing and programming skills are the reason we can create the nostalgic electronic sounds that shape what we do!
